The Ironic Battle of the Babylons

There is an irony about the conflict known as Operation Iraqi freedom that you may not have noticed. The recent war between the US and Iraq has been between two Babylons and between two kings of Babylon. The coalition forces are multinational, but overwhelmingly American in composition and prominence. The ancient city of Babylon is in Iraq, the region of historical Babylon. America, too, is Babylon. This symbolic identity has been thoroughly documented by many students of the Bible. Saddam was for many years the undisputed ruler of Iraq, the King of Babylon. George Jr. is the King of this National Babylon. Joseph Herrin's excellent insights about the Black Oil Anointing are very revealing in this regard. Please understand, I'm not being critical of Dubya's character or sincerity but just making the observation that is appropriate and needs be made. The shoe fits, so to speak, and he wears it.

Here is a link to a BBC press release about a major three part TV series that was aired in October of 2005 - dated 6/10/2005 - where Bush states God told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq. I have no doubt that he was told such as that.

The war between the USA and Iraq has come to something of an end, and it appears that the victor is the King of Babylon Symbolic, who now has the ultimate authority in Babylon Historic as well.

Dubya is not only in the role of King of National Babylon Symbolic and is King of Babylon Religious too. He is not the Pope, but among the Daughters of Babylon that are the "Evangelical Church," he is indeed a model Potentate.

The two Babylons speak prophetically. This has been a sign for the hearing ears and seeing eyes. The message is that the Babylons symbolic, both national and religious, are going to go the way of Babylon Historic. Their demise has been prophesied by the sign that was the recent battle of the Babylons. George Jr. has, as proclaimed, become the Liberator, though the one who truly makes men free is the Son of the Father Yahweh and not the son of that father George Sr. The One who is Truth and sets men free indeed is coming shortly to overrule all Babylon.

Consider also the Information Minister. We have been entertained by the Iraqi Information Minister's colorful perspectives but he was, however, the source of truth and hope for many Iraqis. Even when it became obvious that the lies and deceit were exposed and there was only the guarantee of personal embarrassment and humiliation if he continued - he continued.

"Today we slaughtered them in the airport. They are out of Saddam international Airport," he said. "The force that was in the airport, this force was destroyed." "Their casualties and bodies are many. Their equipment and vehicles, several were destroyed," he later said. "They are still trying to bomb with artillery and [rocket-propelled grenades] to hit the Republican Guard who are controlling Saddam International Airport." He even said he would take reporters to the airport after it was cleaned up. We laugh. We joke. But here is a lesson. His was not the only regime with an Information minister. That's right. His was not the only Babylon. To those with ears to hear, Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf is, and I mean is, the image of Babylon Symbolic's Information Ministers. Those whose hearts are in the Babylon Symbolic Nation and Religion look to their respective Information Ministers who stand as the source of hope and truth. I you do not come to see this truth, it is most assuredly because you are too close, too attached to the Babylons symbolic.

Concerning National Babylon Symbolic, it doesn't take much of a historian to see that America's economy is standing by purely artificial means. It has the substance of a balloon. There is precious little dignity or self-respect to be found amongst Americans today, but self-delusion and self-pride abounds. Concerning Religious Babylon Symbolic, well, the Information Ministers generally continue their campaigns of status quo maintenance. This will result in the destruction of many lives, but the Lord's plan will be realized and the salvation wrought will be exceeding great! It will be wrought by way of the usual process; death then new life.

These are not easy things to say, but they are true. The battle of the Babylons and the Iraqi Information Minister are signs that speak to those who will hear it. Although the signs of destruction are manifest in the remaining Babylons, the eyes and ears of those whose hearts and minds are invested in these systems are closed tightly so that denial may continue. The Information Ministers, as al-Sahaf did, will steadfastly carry out their duty to lead the blind until they both fall into the ditch. Only after the destruction has occurred will the denial cease. Too late for recovery, the deceived will discover that they had chosen to ignore the series of warnings that were so graciously given to alert them to the campaign of deception by which they had been destroyed.

The World Trade Center's twin towers that fell is one of the pictures seen in the above passage: "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! The W.T.C. was the primary symbol of this Babylon described in verse 3. Babylon is doomed, people. The similar message of Daniel 8 will be known shortly because the shaggy goat's horn that represents the power of America will be broken.

How do you avoid being deceived and being led into the ditch? Hear the sign of al-Sahaf. Don't be afraid to see it because it is not yet too late. Get your heart and mind out while you can! Turn your hearts away from trusting in the doomed systems Babylon and trust in the Lord!

There is a lot of pride evidenced among the saints; a lot of crowing about our great nation. What do we have to boast in that is not fully the Lord's? Nothing! National pride and religious pride causes spiritual blindness. Repent of your national pride and religious pride. This is not an option. God bless America, yes, and equally; God bless every nation.

Fall on this stone Y'shua. You will be broken to pieces, it is true, but this is a necessary part of the process; also, not an option.

Can you read the signs that destruction of Babylon Symbolic is coming? Rebellion is reaching its limit. AIDS is a plague and SARS is a plague. Do you need to see the writing on the wall like in Daniel chapter five before you're willing to heed the warning? The writing came because the King did not humble himself. Fall on this stone Y'shua willingly, while you are able.

Will you need another sign before you pay attention? Ok, there will be more. Have you noticed Damascus in the news lately?

There is not much time left. The season of "false alarms" is passing away. These alarms are real, sounding a very present warning. Can you hear it? "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues."

If you have invested your soul in Babylon, it's time to come out.
