Transcription of the video published on 6/28/26 called: "What If It's true?" The Impact of the Book and Its Message Hey everybody, Bob of The Open Scroll here. I wanted to give an update about the book and a little bit about the distribution and what's been going on. So, I want to thank you first for those who've asked for books and are sharing them with your community. And this is exactly what I want to encourage. Books are finding their way into the hands of people who are interested and reading them. And yeah, it's shaking up the lives of some people. And this is really kind of a small grassroots start. And I'm really curious about how quickly this is going to take off and exactly what's going to come of it all. So, I just spent a little bit of time writing this out. And I wanted to make sure I put it out in a way that I didn't miss anything. And I had some important things that I put in that I want to make sure I get right. So, I'm just going to pretty much read through this. I just got back from a trip to New York where I visited with my mother. She's in an assisted living home. She had asked for a book and I sent her two. She read it and gave one to the gentleman who leads their weekly Bible study at a nearby retirement community. Dan started reading it and asked my mama to invite me to their study on Tuesday afternoon. I had planned to use that window of time to take books around to some local thrift stores and used bookstores, which I had already mapped out in advance. But I chose to go to the Bible study instead and I'm really glad I did. Dan introduced me to the others present and asked me to give a little presentation about the book after their study. There was about a dozen of us there. Dan was well prepared with his study, which was dealing mostly with the 19th chapter of John. At the end, I was invited to share about the book. I had not given any thought to what I might say. I took the copy from Dan intending to read the back cover and I began to talk. It was immediately apparent that somebody was hungry for the truth because the Holy Spirit showed up. Public speaking Bob was in the house. When you see me in a typical video like this, I'm pretty subdued, pretty low key, and slow of speech, even dry. But standing up with the book in hand on Tuesday afternoon, I was quite animated and my voice was strong. I started out with a little backstory for context, making reference to my early interest in the celestial signs and the chronology of the end times. I talked about my former belief that no one would know when Jesus would come, and the conflict that arose when the Lord repeatedly brought my attention to specific dates and times. It flowed quite naturally into my reading through the back cover material, which was supplemented by some further commentary. It was lively from beginning to end. Dan's response as he wrapped up the meeting was to ask for two more books to share with some men in another study group he's involved with, a men's fellowship, that he said was for more perhaps intellectual or technically inclined or educated Christians. I don't recall exactly how he described them, but that area is known for academic excellence. There were already several engineers present at Tuesday's meeting, which seems to explain the rather detailed or technical material in the presentation that was drawn out by the Holy Spirit. You may recall my earlier report about how another church-going man here in my town of Greensburg read the book and wanted a copy for one of his pastor friends. He was going to meet with his pastor friend to give him the book, and then meet again a week later to follow up. I haven't received any feedback yet, which suggests that they're not exactly on fire with the message. I'm curious to see what comes of it, if anything. As I reflect on this situation where active church-goers take an interest in the book, it surprises me because it's been my experience that most church-goers are unable to hear and embrace the message. This response is understandable because it's risky, even dangerous, because if it's true that some will know when Jesus returns, the person who is intellectually and emotionally engaged is going to have the rug of their reality pulled out from under them. Many have a delayed response due to cognitive dissonance and functional disconnection issues, but for others the foundational premise of their life as a Christian is immediately called into question because those they put their trust in betrayed them in a big way. They were warned to pay no attention to, or completely reject, something that so much actually depends upon. Of faith, love, and hope, in truth, they were robbed. If they receive the book's message that some will know, they're confronted with the realization that they're absolutely not ready for Jesus' coming, when they had very likely been convinced that they were well prepared. And they have to consider that if they could be so completely misled for so long, how could they even get to the place where they would actually know when Jesus is coming? You have to start asking more questions like, who does already know? Or, does no one know yet? Big questions. Plus, who can you trust to guide you, if anyone? Certainly not the head of the house. If you've had these or other thoughts in response to learning that some will know when Jesus comes, please reach out and share them with me. It will help me get my mind wrapped around it and maybe help others. Now, about the funding of the book and its distribution, the second box of books I received from the printer are only partially funded, so help out if you can by using the PayPal system on the OpenScroll website, or preferably sending funds to the P.O. Box. Contact info is online. How can you help spread the message? Donate books to your local neighborhood, bookshare boxes, thrift stores, used bookstores, and libraries. Hand them out where you meet with others socially, even at church, if you're so inspired. And there's neighborhood events like yard sales and farmers markets, right? And so, interesting conversations can be had by having a display of a few books set out and looking like you're eager to talk to people, and once you start talking to one, others will listen in and gather around, right? So, make some noise about it. If you believe in this effort, if you believe some will know, and somebody ought to say something about it, that somebody is probably you, because I'm saying stuff about it, and others are too, and if you're not, maybe it's time to start. You don't have to be a sparkling personality. Case in point. You can just be somebody who knows a few things and wants to share it, right? Well, bless you, in Jesus' name. Bye-bye.
