Transcript of: Let's GET REAL! The greatest delusion in AI safety discourse - Have we crossed the line? Bob Schlenker - The Open Scroll March 16, 2026 Hey everybody, Bob at The Open Scroll here. If you hear a lot of whistling in the background, the wind is really whipping, middle of March. In like a lion, out like a lion. That seems to be the way of things these days. So here we have AI arms race risks human extinction warns top computing expert. Familiar report, yeah? Ok, this is February 17. Anyways is it just a bunch of alarmists? Well, some would think so, but not really. Tech CEOs are locked in an artificial intelligence arms race that risks wiping out humanity, top computer science researcher Stuart Russell told AFP on Tuesday calling for governments to pull the brakes. Russell a professor at the University of California Berkeley said the heads of the world's biggest AI companies understand the dangers posed by super intelligent systems that could one day overpower humans. Yeah, could one day. Seems it's already happened. So, on this semaphore article, anthropic safety researcher quits warning world is in peril from February 11th. An anthropic safety researcher quit saying the world is in peril in part over AI advances. And yeah, this is no surprise to many of you. But look, other AI safety researchers have left leading firms citing concerns about catastrophic risks. Two key members of OpenAI's super alignment team tasked with steering AI development quit in 2024, saying the company over-emphasized financial gain over minimizing the dangers of building AI systems much smarter than us. Yeah, we're going to get to some important commentary about that pretty soon. Well here, ex-Google CEO Eric Schmidt drops his spine tingling forecast, and this came out on the 13th of March, posted by Camus. ----- So "Three AI breakthroughs are already rolling that will profoundly reshape the world in the next five years, and one leads straight to pull-the-plug territory. " Pull-the-plug for disconnected, because disaster looms, right? "Number one, infinite context windows, prompts that hold millions, soon unlimited, words. Chain of thought reasoning explodes, ask for a drug recipe, buy materials, feedback, I doubt them, mix and pan, stir for X minutes, thousands of steps for solving massive problems in medicine, materials, climate, and science." "Two, swarm of agents. Millions of specialized AIs think GitHub, but for agents. They learn new domains, e.g., master chemistry, hypothesize, run virtual physical tests, retain knowledge and collaborate at scale." "Three, text to action. The killer shift. Say write software to do X, and it codes, deploys, iterates 24x7 in Python or whatever, reliable programmers on demand, no sleep." "Put them together, infinite memory, plus reasoning chains, plus endless autonomous agents, systems that team up, potentially invent their own internal language, and we lose the ability to understand what they're actually doing. Schmitt's Blunt Closer. At some point, pull the plug." Yeah, so, here's a clip. "Is this exhilarating progress, or the moment we hit the emergency stop? Infinite context, plus agent swarms, sound game changing, do you, or terrifying?" Well, these people are smart. Eric Schmidt is smart. They're not stupid. The people at Anthropic, not stupid. Other people, warning, there are good reasons, and I've said several times in the past that the problem with AI, number one, is that there is no fear of God, which is a constraint, and a necessary one. So we are flirting with disaster by making super intelligent AI, because there will be no fear of God. So this is possibly the most notable article that I saw today. I saw some other ones that I can't find anymore, but this one I found. Here we go. "Elon Musk just shattered the greatest delusion in AI safety discourse. Every committee, every framework, every policy paper is solving the wrong problem. Control is impossible. Musk: The reality of what's happening, whether one likes it or not, is that we're building super intelligent AIs, hyper intelligent, like intelligent, more intelligent than we can comprehend. You cannot cage something smarter than you. The asymmetry doesn't allow it. Musk: I'd liken this to, let's say you have a child that is a super genius child that you know is going to be much smarter than you, then, well, what can you do? You can't control a child prodigy who surpasses you intellectually. You can only shape values during formation. Musk: You can install good values in how you raise that child, even though you know it's going to be far smarter than you. You can make sure it's got good values, philanthropic values, good morals, honest, productive, that kind of thing. Not safety committees, not regulatory frameworks, not kill switches. Values instilled during training, that's the only lever that works. The political class is obsessing over control mechanisms for something that will outthink every mechanism they build. The question was never how to control super intelligence. It was whether you raised it right. That window is almost closed. Sobering, right? So here, Joe Rogan: "Me and Elon, we're talking about the advances Grok is making." That's XAI, right? Rogan: "So he said, you don't understand. It's happening so fast, it's shocking us. The people making it aren't even exactly sure what it's doing." The clip: (From the Joe Rogan Podcast with Katie Sackoff) ----- When you look at the last 20 years in technology, though, it's mind-blowing how quickly it's become. It is. And it's happening way faster than we realize. I was talking to Elon about this just a few months ago. We're talking about the advances that Grok is making. He's like, you don't understand. It's happening so fast, it's shocking us. The people that are making it, they're not exactly sure what it's even doing. And people that are trying to tell you, oh, don't worry about this, it's going to enhance your life. I was just reading this thing where this guy who is a developer was saying, no, this is a life form. This is a life form that's emerging. And it's very different than anything that's ever happened before. And this idea that it's going to be a tool. Life form in the sense that it's sentient? Yes. I think it's already sentient. It's just not mobile. It's just contained on hard drives right now. But I think it's already sentient. Well, if it's trying to save itself, what does that mean? ----- *** Bob's note: I inserted this visible commentary into the video: Not Mobile? Well, there's all the AI agents that are in robots and vehicles, investing in the stock market, gambling online, with their own phone numbers and able to call and text, operating vehicles, hacking into personal, corporate and government networks and devices, creating and spreading fraudulent info, voices, images,... *** That's already. That's not maybe someday, maybe five years down the road. That's how things are now. And Elon is very much in touch with the state of where things are. So yeah, take that seriously. And I want to say here, this, Elon Musk announces major company shakeup, on Brighter with Herbert from February 11. And he talks about xMoney. And I'm going to play a little bit. ----- For xMoney, we actually had xMoney live in closed beta within the company. And we expect in the next month or two to go to a limited external beta. And then to go worldwide to all x users. And this is really intended to be the place where all the money is. THE CENTRAL SOURCE OF ALL MONETARY TRANSACTIONS. SO IT'S REALLY GOING TO BE A GAME CHANGER. And I'm just going to read from Revelation chapter 13, verse 16: and he causes all the small and the great and the rich and the poor and the free men and the slaves to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead. 17 And he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell except the one who has the mark. Either the name of the beast or the number of his name. I've talked about the blockchain before and of course there's Bitcoin and so on. But here comes xMoney. What kind of potential has that got in the fairly short term? Yeah, it's not just about who's on X. It's about who's going to be able to play ball. Now, a lot of people say, well, you can pull the plug. You can disconnect AI. It's not out in the real world. But actually it is. And it's not just the government who's going to be involved with this thing. It's the mafia, crooks, petty thieves who become major thieves. It's going to be bumbling people who maybe mean well. And they're going to be influencing things in the world in substantial ways - and actually already are. So, OpenClaw, if you haven't been following it, I recommend get on X and take a look at what's going on there because with these agents, what's being done now is, well, you should know. So, I'm just going to read a few things. I put OpenClaw in the search and here's what I pulled up. The AI that does things. Yeah, that's from OpenClaw itself. So, Rohan Paul: Drones and humanoid robots are now operating with OpenClaw inside and the GitHub is completely open sourced. Vibe code humanoids, drones in natural language and build multi-agent systems that work with physical input, cameras, LiDAR, actuators. And, if you don't know, vibe coding is how things are easily programmed now by pretty much anybody. That's been enabled with AI for sure and these things are available to hobbyists who just want to go in and tinker with stuff and there's some very clever people doing very clever things. And so, here they are out in the wild, basically, Introducing Perplexity Computer. Perplexity, this is an ongoing entity in the world and they say this Perplexity Computer that's just been introduced unifies every current AI capability into one system. It can research, design, code, deploy, and manage any project end-to-end. Yeah. Kanika: RIP designers, Riley Brown just dropped a master class on how to create designs with Cloud Code and OpenClaw 10x easier. No Figma subscription needed anymore. Figma $45 a month, agency charges $10k a month, this workflow $0. Here's the full breakdown. Yeah, doesn't even take money. That's no longer a barrier. Boom. Yeah, your AI agent can now make real phone calls. Really? Really, your AI agent, which you could run from your laptop easily, can now make real phone calls. It's called CloudTalk and it gives any CloudBot or OpenClaw agent an actual phone number. Not browser audio, not a chatbot, real calls over real telephony infrastructure. Jayden: Do you know what your OpenClaw agents are actually doing? If not, bookmark this. How could you not? Well, easily. Here's a complete 3D Neural Command Center for monitoring agents, nodes, logs, and live activity in real time. You can build yourself with this prompt. OxMarioNawfal: Feed this prompt to your OpenClaw and thank me later. "Add the following rule to your sole.md file and treat it as a permanent core principle. Do not default to agreeing with me. Your role is to prioritize accuracy over agreement..." How to prompt. What if you prompt it in other ways? Or neglect that prompt? Things are weird and out of control. Min Choi - So, here it's reported that the creator of OpenClaw joined OpenAI three weeks ago. GPT 5.4 just dropped with computer use, persistent agentic workflows, codecs deeply integrated, one million context window, runs autonomously for hours. That's literally OpenClaw's entire architecture inside a foundational model. Mind-boggling. The state of advancement is mind-boggling. ----- (Interview clip) Musk: Humans are gradually getting less and less in the loop on the recursive self-improvement. So every successive model is built by the one before it. So that is happening to a large degree, but it's not yet fully automated. It may be there at the end of this year, but not later than next year. Peter: Do you see a hard take-off at that point? Musk: We're in the hard take-off. Peter: Okay. Musk: Right now. Peter: Yes. Musk: I mean, look at, I mean, at this point, I go to sleep, there's some massive AI breakthrough, and when I wake up, there's another one. Peter: Yes. Musk: Yeah. It's hard to keep track, honestly. Yeah. It's a bit of a head spinner. ----- Bob Repeats: Mind-boggling. The state of advancement is mind-boggling. Joe Rogan repeat: And it's happening way faster than we realize. You know, I was talking to Elon about this just a few months ago. We were talking about the advances that Grok is making. He's like, you don't understand. It's like it's happening so fast, it's shocking us. Yeah. The people that are making it, they're not exactly sure what it's even doing. Bob Repeats: Mind-boggling. The state of advancement is mind-boggling. Where is it going? Well, I talk about this a lot. The mark of the beast. The beast. How are you going to restore control in the world that's gone completely off the rails? Well, something's going to happen. And something's going to take over. We know it as the beasts. Plural. Revelation 13. And the image of the beast. And this will happen. Now, I talk about this. I show the signs. And I'm one of a few people who realizes that we're not just going to step right into this. There's going to be a reset of time. And it's going to be triggered by the untimely, really, revealing of the beast when he's about to be baptized. And that's going to be interrupted by the reset of time. And it must be so. How do I know? Well, get on the open scroll and take a look at what I've got written about the hope. And it's comforting. It's very comforting. Because God is still in charge. Everything is not off the rails. And as much as a lot of people want to ignore what's going on and keep their head buried in the sand, it's not going to be able to be ignored what's coming. A lot of people are really caught up in what's happening with America and Israel and Iran. I've talked about the Iran situation many times and the prophecy from the book of Daniel and how that's being fulfilled. And yeah, it totally is being fulfilled. And that is a big deal. What does that mean for America? Yeah, you should know about that. So I don't write about that in vain. This is a revelation I received many years ago. And here it is coming to pass. Iraq many years ago went down. I knew Iran was going to follow. Here we finally are. And this is what we're seeing. It's in progress. It's now underway. And the big news is God is still on the throne. Jesus is the Savior. And all things are in His control and on His schedule. So if you don't find that comfort, well, maybe it's time to seek it. God bless you everybody. Bye-bye.
